Revlon by Marchesa 3D Nail Art Jewel Appliques

These aren't your typical nail wraps, they look very luxurious and come in some beautiful designs. I have the teal 'flocked' design called silk rosette, and the red jewelled design called evening garnet.
They come with a file and cuticle stick for application and 18 appliques which was a tad disappointing considering you have ten fingers/thumbs! And so wearing one on each nail would leave you short the next time you wanted to wear one on each nail! 20 would've been better although 4 me who will only be wearing one on my ring fingers with polish on the rest it isn't a big deal.
To apply all you do is start with a clean and dry nail, peel off an appropriate sized applique for the nail you want to apply it to, and stick it on your nail. The end will overhang the nail which u then fold down over the tip and file away the excess! I found them to be very easy to apply and they stayed on all night with the ends just beginning to lift the next morning, to remove simply peel off! They won't last a long time particularly with lots of handwashing, but for a night out they are ideal and I will enjoy using these in the future.
Until next time my loves

December Glossybox

Hello my loves,
Look at the December installment, loving the festivity!

Details of the contents:

Beautiful Movements Cosmetics, Nude Lip Gloss
This is from the beauty range by Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt. Its a lovely non-sticky consistency but after drinking with it on it isn't very long lasting, the shade is a lovely nude however and would suit alot of skintones.

Wilkinson Sword Intuition Naturals Razor
This is very big and would only be able to be used on the legs, as I use hair removal cream to avoid knicks on my dry skin I will probably give this to a family member.

Maybelline New York Volum' Express Colossal Smokey Eye Mascara

I was excited to try this as I usually stick with my trusty Maxfactor mascara, the wand is very big, and I applied 2 coats, I  would say it works well to provide a thickening effect. I will probably try using this in conjunction with my Maxfactor one which is primarily for lengthening.

Seche Nail Lacquer in Precious
This is a lovely salmon pink colour with blue shimmer which you can see in different lights, it applies smoothly but isn't particularly long lasting I would say a couple of days.

Yin Yang Skincare Rich Skin Food

This is an organic formula for sensitive skin, the consistency is thick and creamy but it does sink in well and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. The only thing i'm not sold on is the scent..very floral and strong, which was quite off-putting but did disappear within an hour or so.

November Glossybox

Hello my loves
This month I received my first Glossybox! If you aren't familiar this is a monthly subscription where you pay £12.95 per month and receive 5 products, sample size usually, and it gives you the opportunity to try them out before deciding to purchase the full size. You fill out a questionnaire at the time of setting up your subscription so they can determine what you may like and then whatever you receie each month is a total surprise, it's like your birthday every month!
This is what it looks like when it arrives
Inside you get a card with a brief explanation of each products' use and details of the full size price.
I LOVE this spray and will definitely re-purchase as painting my nails is so frustating waiting forever for them to dry and then they go and smudge anyway! I painted a coat, sprayed the product onto them and after 60 seconds the paint was completely dry! For best results I would probably spray after each coat if applying more than one.
This eyeshadow is a gorgeous shade, perfect for the inner corner and under eyebrow as well as all over the lid as it is a neutral but with some shimmer and it is so pigmented. I'll use this alot with so many makeup looks.

The vichy life serum is more of a cream than a serum which was a tad confusing but felt silky to apply none the less, i probably wouldn't buy the full size as it's quite expensive and didn't impress ne enough for the price.
This handcream didn't impress me, the smell isn't something I would normally go for, sickly and chocolately, and I didn't see or feel any inprovement to my skins texture.
This product works well and made my skin much smoother, i possibly wouldn't repurchase only because I think a normal moisturiser would work just as well for me as i don't suffer with terribly dry feet, but i will enjoy using this throughout the winter months as a more intense treatment to avoid dry skin after being clad in boots and socks as the weather gets even colder.

I can't wait to see what i receive in my December Glossybox, stay tuned for the next unboxing and review.
Until next time my loves

My 'no make-up' make-up essentials and how I use them.

Hello my loves
Below are the make-up items i use when achieving a 'no make-up look' ideal for everyday. You are aiming to look 'like you but better' and really all you need are a good base, defined brows and lashes and bit of colour to the cheeks and lips.

The first item is the cosmopolitan perfect blend sponge, which is a more affordable alternative to the beauty blender. You run it under water and squeeze out the excess, then apply your bb cream or foundation using a dabbing motion. The wider side is perfect for cheeks and forehead whilst the pointed side gets in the nooks and crannys such as around the nose and inner corners of the eyes. I love this sponge as it gives a flawless finish and is perfect for dry skin girls in particular because the application method isnt as abrasive as rubbing with fingers or buffing in with a brush.

This bb cream by maybelline has to be the best one i've found, it matches my skintone perfectly, i'm the colour light, and it also has spf 30. The coverage is sheer but just blurs any imperfections and could either be used as a primer under foundation or on its own for daytime. I find the application to be very smooth and it melts into the skin very nicely, and although it is oil free and non-greasy it gives a lovely dewy finish.

I'll move onto the bronzer next which is quite a dark one to say I have fair skin but used sparingly it offers just the right amount of colour for contouring and warming up the face, I use this in the hollows of the cheeks, around the hairline on my forehead and down the sides of my nose. If you have a troublesome chin you can add some to the jawline to create shadow.

Add blush to the highest part of your cheekbones and upto the temples. Commonly we tend to smile and add colour to the apples of the cheeks but when we do this once you stop smiling the colour drops lower on the face which drags the face down and ages you too. Adding the blush to the cheekbone and temples keeps everything 'up' and is a much more youthfull finish. The one i'm using at the moment is No7 in soft apricot, which is actually a much more peachy/rose tone.

When defining my brows I prefer to fill in the gaps I have but still acheive a natural look so I stick to a pencil. The one I use is rimmel brow pencil in dark brown and I use my own eyebrow brush because the one attached to the lid is too hard and brushes the product away. I am planning to get the anastasia brow wiz though as i've heard good things about it.

A highlighter is a good way to add definition and could be used instead of a bronzer for contouring, defining the prominent parts of your face does the same job as adding shadow in the less prominent parts in theory but I like to do both! The one I like is high beam by benefit which is a pinky tone highligher and adds a lovely light catching, dewy effect. I add this to cheekbones, down the centre of the nose and my cupids bow to give an illusion of fuller lips.

My holy grail mascara is the max factor masterpiece in rich black, i've repurchased this over and over and I'm so reluctant to try any other. The formula is really nice, I don't find that it clumps or flakes and it does a great job of separating and lengthening the lashes.

My favourite lipgloss for a natural look is the loreal glam shine in rosewood blush, it has some shimmer in it without being too sparkly for daytime and feels nice on the lips not sticky at all.

If you use any of these products or like any of the tips let me know in the comments. Any blog suggestions are welcome too!

Until next time my loves

MUA £1 nail polishes

Hello my loves,
As nail polishes go these £1 bargain buys from superdrug are definitely worth a try, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. I tried the colours lush lilac, frozen yoghurt and bright coral. The shade frozen yoghurt goes on opaque with 2 coats as does bright coral but lush lilac, being a very light colour takes a few more coats to achieve a good finish which is to be expected.
Frozen yoghurt

Bright coral

Lush lilac

The lasting power isn't great but for the price you can't complain and I would say MUA polishes are ideal for any girl who likes to change their nail colour frequently or are looking for a fab nail look for a night out.
Until next time my loves
