Latest beauty bits

Hello my loves,
Here are some make-up bits I purchased recently..
I've needed some concealer for a while, and a couple of youtubers had recommended the Lasting Perfection Concealer by Collection, so as it was reasonably priced and I didn't own anything from the brand I decided to try it. I got the shade number 2, Light, and I found the consistency to be quite thick and high coverage which is great for both under the eyes and any blemishes. It does dry very fast so you need to work quickly after applying and immediately blend out but it does blend well, most effectively with a finger in my opinion. It stays put for a long time and looks flawless all day without creasing or settling into fine lines. I would re-purchase this .

While purchasing the above concealer i noticed the Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer also by Collection, I thought this might be better for the under-eye area so I got the shade number 1, Naked. I really don't like this at all, it has a little brush at the top and you twist the bottom of the tube to click product through to the brush which is typical of the illuminators you find usually, but you have to twist for what feels like an eternity to get any concealer coming through! When you do get some on your skin its very pink undertoned and looks unnatural on the skin, it also doesn't illuminate so I wouldn't re-purchase this.

A product I really wanted to try was the Loreal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer as I heard it was a dupe for Macs Strobe Cream from a youtube guru. I really like this, you wouldn't wear it alone all over your face as it is very illuminating and you would risk looking shiny but under foundation or bb cream it gives a lovely glow and is very hydrating too. You could also use this as a highlighter on the cheekbones, browbone, cupids bow and down your nose if you wanted to wear it on a bare face and your skin needed a boost. You only need half a pump at most for your whole face so a little goes a long way, and I definitely will be re-purchasing.

For days when I want a more matte finish I bought Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, does what it says on the tin and keeps you shine free for ages. Also if you use it on top of your blusher/ bronzer/contour it helps to blend any harsh lines. I bought translucent as I didn't want to add any colour so I can't comment on the shade matching my skintone but I like the product and I would probably re-purchase but I reckon it'll last a long time after using a few times the rimmel emblem on the powder hasn't altered at all.

Lastly I had been wanting some nude lip products, and came across two from Rimmel, the first is a lipstick from their Moisture Renew line called 'to nude or not to nude' and the shade is a pretty pink undertoned nude with shimmer. The finish is lovely and creamy and it feels hydrating too, the only downside to the moisturising lipsticks are the staying power.

Secondly was a product which I had heard of but I didn't own any so I was excited to try, Rimmel Colour Rush in 710 Drive Me Nude, its a tinted lipbalm in crayon form, and when it's running down you just twist the bottom to reveal more product. I really love these, easy to apply, good colour pigmentation and surprising staying power. I will definitely be buying more of the colours from Rimmels range of lip crayon balms and trying these has encouraged me to try some similar ones from other brands too.

Xxxx
